StatusThis story is almost complete, but still on WIP Status.
Why Recommended: This fic is the definition of cannon snape. I have never seen a Harry & Snape centered fic with Snape being so totally his bastardly self throughout the entire thing unless it was one of those "Lets be as cruel to Harry as possible and make Harry bleed for nothing more than Snape's amusement" Fics. This is not one of those. You see signs that Snape cares and perhaps even loves Harry in his own twisted way even as he is verbally tearing the boy to shreds. If you hate Snape, this fic will give you more reason to. If you are one of those who can see past his harsh exterior and even harsher interior to see the inner Snape that has so many people obsessed, than this is a definite read.

02:40 am: Snapist?
When will I update COALD? Good question. I have most of the chapter written right now, but I have to go through it an flush out a few things. Just for fun I used a voice recognition program to write this upcoming chapter and lets just say... if you think that is faster than typing...think again. It seriously has to take at least five times longer with all the corrections that have to be made. Oh well.

I should have it up withing the next few days, not before Wednesday, but not after Saturday.

Characterizations: The characters are fairly close to cannon in the beginning, but it deviates a bit after a few chapters.
Warnings: Physical abuse and character deviation in the later chapters.
Why Recommended: This story is completed. If you are looking for a cute story, give this one a try. There are quite a few elements in it that seem to occur in many different fics, there are also quite a few things unique to this story.

AUTHOR WARNING: As far as I know this is the only Non-Slash fic that this author written. If you do not read slash, don't venture past this story.

Why Recommended: First of all, this story has been completed. It is another in the list of Harry is adopted by Snape, but it does take quite a few chapters to get there. This is rather relaxing to read, not all action and Harry harming although there is quite a lot going on at the same time.

Most Harry & Snape fans have probably already read the story, but if by chance you have not, take a look.

03:45 am: UPDATE and a new story
First of all, Cost of a Life Debt has been updated. It is not a very long chapter, and it mainly consists of Harry and Snape sniping. Strangely enough, a fairly difficult chapter to write as I am still trying to teach myself to integrate dialog into description.

Speaking of trying to teach myself...I am still rather amazed at how well my story was received, thank you so much. All the reviews are very encouraging. I find myself rather thrilled at the response.

As to how much longer it will be, so far I would say that I am approximately one third of the way done. I am not certain though. I know where I am headed and I know mainly how I want to get there, but the path my writing takes seems to change with every chapter. I don't know for certain what is going to happen until it gets written, so I am rather eager to find out exactly how this thing will end up as well.

What is up with the one shot The Boy Who Cried Vampire?

One of my other self inflicted challenges. I wanted to write Snape as a vampire without any pairings. It is rather AU, and I don't explain anything to do with why Snape is there or even Dumbledore for that matter, but as with COALD I am writing from a point of view where the person really does not know anything either. Basically it leaves the details up in the air, and possibly room for a sequel. Who knows, I am thinking about it.

Anyway, if you recognize the plot, it is based on a short story called The Boy Who Cried Dragon. I forget who it is by, but I will add that information as soon as I find it.

Also, Sunday, by 5pm California time, I will add two fic Recs. It is 1:00 am now, and I am just a little too tired to do that now. :::yawns:::

Finally, all hail the Half Blood Prince! Yes, I will be one of the crazy people in line at the book store at midnight! I've done it before and will do it again! Who else plans to spend the AM hours of the 16th perusing JKR's new book? Have at it!

Short Summary: (Not author’s summary, I can’t access the page to get it right now, but I wrote it as close to what the author did as I could remember) A letter from home takes Harry down an unforeseen path where everything he once relied on will change, and the person he once despised will become the only one he can turn to.
Main characters: Harry, Snape, Draco.
Point of View: Harry
Warning: Minor Character Deaths
Characterizations: The characters are written as closely to cannon as the situations in the story allow.
Why Recommended: This is a very VERY well written piece of fiction. Aspen has created her own world within the Potterverse by inventing new spells, sayings, rituals, and even life styles that add such detail to her work that it seems to bring the entire magical world to life. One of the many things that makes her (Forgive me, Aspen, if you are not a her) writing so believable is that she brings rules and limitations to the magical world thus magic real part of her story and not just a way to avoid of create plot holes.


I cannot say enough about this story, so you will have to go read it to see what it is all about. In all honesty, if I could write half as well I would be a very happy author.

Okay, I am back home, passed all my classes and just spent a week being lazy...and wrote only two-hundred words on my story. I think lazy might be an understatement. Ah well.

What story you ask? Well, I am trying to write a story called Cost of a Life Debt. It is a non slash story about what happens to Harry after slaying the dark lord. It is one of my first stories, but it seems to be well received so far. Must get to work on it.

Anyway, I am rambling. This is my first entry and I wanted to start out with something besides the customary "Hi, this is _______ and I have a new journal. I don't know what I am doing right now, but it you will come back and check some time I may have figured out how to change the back ground."

I thought that might be slightly over done. :)

Anyway, This is mainly a test to see what will come of this entry, but if all goes well by me next entry I hope to have another completed chapter put up at www.fanfiction.net/~siriuslyseverus and my plan is to review some of my most favorite stories here and tell a little about them in the process.
